Art Nouveau ( sometimes called Jugendstil) was at it’s strongest between 1890 and 1905. It’s organic and stylized curvaceous forms are characteristic to the movement. Art Nouveau is said to have paved the way between Neo-Classicism and modern styles. Most of Art Noveau works were two dimensional and many of it’s most distinguishable works are posters and advertisements.Art Nouveau’s most prominent artists are Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt and Antoni Gaudi.
