RENEISSANCE reproductions

The cultural movement of the Renaissance spanned from the 14th to 17th century more or less. The movement is believed by some to have originated in Tuscany, Italy and to have later spread to the rest of Europe.
The Renaissance was a period during which learning returned to it’s basis of classical sources and the addition of new techniques such as the introduction of realism and linear perspectives in paintings. Artists like Leonardo da Vinci explored the human form while others moved towards the depiction and importance of the play of shadow and light.
The main representatives of this artistic era are Italians Titian, Raphael, and Michelangelo Buonarrotti. An important European artist was Albrecht Durer.
